The objective of the training course is to provide knowledge and skills for technical staff on the development of the AEs for calculating forest biomass.
In the first day, Vietnam and Indonesia teams introduced and shared experiences on REDD+ implementation, forest classification and status of AEs development of each country. In the second day, two facilitators, Matieu and Laurent, introduced an overview on procedures of AEs development and presented some case studies. More than haft time of the training, under the guidance of the facilitators, the participants were divided into small groups to discuss on procedures and technical skills on building and selecting AEs as well as practice on building interim allometric models for calculating forest biomass.
