The aim of the STWG-LI is to provide
guidance and support to pilot projects and to local governments, and through
this, support the development of the National REDD program through advice to
the Technical Working Group. It will also aim to improve coordination
between pilot projects and local governments, as well as information sharing
across pilot projects and between local and national levels.
The primary areas of focus of the SWG-LI
are as follows:

Capacity building for local government and for pilot
project proponents.
- Structures for information sharing.
- Coordination of local activities with national
requirements.
- Implementation and monitoring of alternative rural
livelihoods.
The STWG-LI meets around once every two

Adrian Enright (SNV – Netherlands Development Agency) with a Government
