In five days (14-18/9/2015), the UN-REDD Viet Nam Phase II Programme hosted the first REDD+ Academy Training of Trainers (TOT) in order to build up REDD+ trained trainers for its capacity building activities for relevant stakeholders for all level in the upcoming time.

On 2 February 2015, the Bac Kan Province’s Programme Management Unit of the UN-REDD Viet Nam Phase II (PPMU Bac Kan) and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) co-hosted a workshop on reviewing models of forest management and livelihood implemented in the province.
On 21 January 2015, Lam Dong People’s Committee issued Decision No.247/QD-UBND on promulgating its action plan on Reducing emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation, sustainable management of forests, conservation and enhancement of forest carbon stocks for the period of 2015 - 2020 (PRAP).
On the 24 October 2014, the Director of UN-REDD Viet Nam Phase II Programme Management Unit in Lam Dong province signed a Letter of Agreement with Kala Tongu and Preteing 2 for the implementation of “Site-based action plan for deforestation and forest degradation prevention and control” in these 2 villages.
Since December 2014, the Binh Thuan Programme Management Board of the UN-REDD Viet Nam Phase II Programme (PPMU Binh Thuan) has put more efforts on communicating and raising awareness of REDD+ to relevant stakeholders at provincial, district and commune levels. The efforts is the first step to preprare for the development of its Provincial REDD+ Action Plan (PRAP) and Commune REDD+ Action Plan (CRAP) in early 2015.
The UN-REDD Viet Nam Phase II Programme in cooperation with MB-REDD/SNV Project organised a training on facilitation skill for relevant staff who are responsible for supporting pilot provinces of the Programme in developing its provincial REDD+ action plans (PRAP).
(NFMS) and Reference Levels (RELs) for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) were the focus of a workshop hosted today in Ha Noi by the UN-REDD Programme in collaboration with the Viet Nam Administration of Forestry (VNFOREST).
