In five days (14-18/9/2015), the UN-REDD Viet Nam Phase II Programme hosted the first REDD+ Academy Training of Trainers (TOT) in order to build up REDD+ trained trainers for its capacity building activities for relevant stakeholders for all level in the upcoming time.

This paper presents a series of possible models for incentivising multiple benefits in subnational planning for REDD+, in the pioneering case study of Lam Dong province, Vietnam.
This article summarizes a March 2012 workshop held in Vietnam. According to Vietnam’s National Forest Development Strategy, by 2020, about 30% of Vietnam production forests – equivalent to around 1.8 million ha – is expected to meet criteria of sustainable forest management and to be qualified for certification. To achieve this objective, models of sustainable forest management have been piloted in some provinces. To date, however, certified forest areas remain relatively insignificant.

The workshop was a good opportunity to discuss and promote the integration of gender issues in forest protection and development program coping with climate change and REDD+ implementation in Vietnam.
The objective of the training course is to provide knowledge and skills for technical staff on the development of the AEs for calculating forest biomass.
On September 6th 2016, at Hall of Convalescent 198, Da Lat City, UN-REDD Lam Dong PPMU cooperated with Women Union to celebrate competition on “Good REDD+ Communicator 2016” for women members from 5 districts Lac Duong, Lam Ha, Dam Rong and Da Huoai.
